Chile settles dispute with Albemarle over lithium reserves data
Chilean regulators have settled a high stakes dispute, defusing a spat that may have led to the suspension of the company's permit to expand its operations.
Capital expenditure among the 10 largest metals and mining companies is forecast to advance to about $35 billion this year, the first annual rise since 2013.
While the decision is final and not subject to appeal, one legal hurdle remains — Pampa Group, which controls SQM, earlier this month filed an additional appeal with Chile’s TDLC antitrust court.
