Infrastructure that lags behind southern Canada is limiting the potential of the territory’s mining development and increasing its costs as well, said leaders of the N.W.T. government at PDAC.
The project would produce up to 250,000 tonnes of potash per year and have an expected life of over 100 years, according to federal government website.
Kinross, which operated in Russia for about 25 years, said the price change followed a review by a recently formed commission to control foreign investments.
