Individuals and groups took to Twitter to criticize the National Energy Board’s approval of Enbridge’s proposed Northern Gateway pipeline:

209 conditions, + the word “#climate” doesn’t appear once. That’s what they’re not getting. That’s why we’ll stop the @NorthernGateway.

With less energy demand these projects wouldn’t be needed. Maybe all the electronic environmentalists who cry between going snowboarding and out for sushi should stop using energy
Matt
I am a BC environmentalist. I am going to drive all over this province protesting the use of energy….in my 1973 Lada, which only uses 2 lts of oil to the mile.

there will be people from all over BC, Canada and the world to stand infront of the Enbridge bulldozers. The last Angus Reid poll (done by a non-industry SFU student) has 77% BCers against this pipeline. Not even a dictator could ram this project through BC. Northern Gateway is dead.

Who ever wrote this bull piece above is out of touch! I have heard nothing but positive comments about the success of the Northern Gateway and the strong future it brings to BC and Canada… the above so called Mining Oilsands expert obviously has too many Sierra Club, WWF, Tides, Forest Ethics twitter friends and in my opinion should not be representing any constructive unbiased dialogues regarding the responsible Canadian Oilsands industry. This is a constructive Canadian forum, not an anti Oilsands chatroom.

actually the First Nations have a 10% ownership. They are in favour of this.

I find this story offensive and pure misrepresentation.
