China may seek more coal from Mongolia as Russia’s share shrinks
China’s record coal purchases last year were driven by big increases in supplies from Australia and Mongolia.
Mining Weekly reports that U.S. miner Patriot Coal will open a number of new mines in the next two years as it moves to expand its production by 60% by 2013, CEO Richard Whiting said on Tuesday.
