Yukon may assume Victoria Gold accident cleanup
Officials said Victoria must increase holding ponds and boost its treatment of cyanide-contaminated water from the landslide.
The 3,710 ha mining concessions making up the gold project are located in the state of Baja California Sur, Mexico. The area is approximately 7 km south of the sub-delegation known as Valle Perdido and approximately 55km south of the city of La Paz.
The access road from Highway 1 to the site is approximately 17km. The closest communities to the site are the small towns of El Rosario and Valle Perdido….more at Paredones Amarillos
