With limited demand for the washed -3 – 1 1/2″ material from their primary plant, the producer purchased a new TRIO plant to make an asphalt grade material. The plant manager’s familiarity with TRIO products and services along with ability to supply the complete plant through a single point of contact at TRIO Plant Services (TPS) were major contributorsn the decision process.
At the heart of the plant are a CT1040 jaw crusher and a TV95 ROR vertical shaft impact crusher.
The TRIO CT line of jaw crushers incorporates oversized bearings, drop forged heat treated eccentric shaft and a cast pitman. Offered with either a welded or bolted frames, most models have hydraulically adjusted wedges for easy adjustment of the crusher’s closed side setting. All models incorporate a fixed jaw die with a wrap-around design that protects the crusher mainframe.
Designed with durability and flexibility in mind, TRIO’s VSI crushers can be configured in rock-on-rock, rock-on-steel, and steel-on-steel arrangements while providing unmatched performance. With thoughtful features like a cartridge bearing assembly designed for easy replacement, and a bearing assembly with oversized high load roller bearings and alloy shaft for a long operating life, the TV95 is truly an operator friendly machine.
This plant also featured TIH4102 and TIO6203 inclined screens. All TRIO inclined screens are manufactured with rugged, huck-bolted frames that are well-suited for use in a variety of aggregate, mineral, and industrial applications. Heavier and stronger built than other screens on the market today, with larger shafts and bearings, these screens are built with long-term durability in mind.
TRIO’s nearby Birmingham, Alabama warehouse, with quick delivery of wear items, ensures that the plant will stay up and running—another benefit of TRIO’s extensive parts inventory and large international distribution network. The producer’s experience with the plant led directly to the subsequent purchase from Trio of a tunnel conveyor with three EF3005 vibrating pan feeders. That equipment, currently be installed, will allow the plant to be directly fed without the use of a loader.
