Metso to supply iron ore induration machine to JSW Steel Ltd in India

Metso Corporation Press release on June 6, 2008 at 3.00 p.m. local time. Metso Minerals will supply an iron ore induration machine to JSW Steel Ltd. The machine will be delivered to JSW Steel for its Vijayanager facility in District Bellary, India. The delivery will be completed during the first quarter of 2010. The value of the order is approximately EUR 11 million.

The order comprises a 464 square meter induration machine with 177 pellet cars with a feed rate of approximately 375 tonnes per hour of iron ore pellets, as well as start-up, commissioning and training services.

India’s third largest steelmaker, JSW Steel Limited engages in the production and sale of various steel products in India. The products are used e.g. in automobile industry, infrastructure projects, as well as in machine and equipment building. JSW Steel is a part of O.P. Jindal Group.
