Metso introduces new cone crusher

At CONEXPO-CON-/AGG 2017, Metso’s booth had a little bit of everything, from grinding rolls to data analytics systems. However, it was the Finnish company’s new MX Multi-Action cone crusher what draw people en masse to the exhibit.

As Guillaume Lambert, Global Director of Crushing Products, explained in interview with MINING.com’s Michael McCrae, the machine brings together the piston and rotating bowl into a single crusher. “This makes it very versatile. We are talking about secondary, tertiary, and quaternary applications in mining or aggregate production,” he said.

Lambert lauded the crusher’s easy under-load setting adjustment and wear compensation which allows for non-stop processes. “We have an intelligent crusher,” he assured while detailing that the machine also provides maximized tramp release distance with high protection against uncrushable objects and overloading.

Metso’s executive indicated that, following 10,000 hours of testing, the machine is now available worldwide.
