Metso has acquired Copperstate Industrial Services, Inc., a mining services provider based inPhoenix, Arizona. The acquisition strengthens Metso’s position as a leading service and technology provider for the mining and construction sectors. The company was transferred to Metso on August 1. The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
Established in 1999, Copperstate has built a highly competent team of service personnel in the American hard rock mining region. Approximately 40 employees will transfer to Metso. The team will be integrated into the Services business line of Metso’s Mining and Construction Technology segment, where they will continue to service existing clients. The team will be expanded to further reinforce Metso’s maintenance, repair and retrofit business in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
