According to research house Wood Mackenzie, the need for investment is becoming desperate in zinc and lead and will be a major issue in the copper sector in the next few years.
"There'll always be investors wanting to get in early, but the junior market would only really start to benefit once majors instil investor confidence."
Zinc is the top pick at LME Week, the metal world's largest annual gathering, amid speculation that as with zinc Glencore could ride to rescue of nickel.
The approval will include “the same rights and the same level of legal and fiscal certainty provided under its contract of work,” the company said without elaborating.
