Australia’s mining tycoon Clive Palmer is entering the movie business.
The millionaire is already a politician, founder of mining company Mineralogy, resort-owner and ship-builder. Now, it appears that Palmer has registered a production company, Palmer Pictures.
The millionaire Tweeted on Monday:
Due to worldwide interest in @titanic_ii I’ve registered ‘Palmer Pictures’. Will look at making a movie about its maiden voyage #titanic

Palmer is currently building Titanic II, a replica of the original Titanic which is expected to set sail in 2016.
In an interview with Courier Mail, Palmer told reporters that his film will be “a lot better” than James Cameron’s Titanic.
“The script’s looking pretty good at the moment – it’s not finished but it’s very interesting.” He also reveled that the film will have “some love in it.”
Reactions to Palmer’s announcement:
Congrats @CliveFPalmer For considering a movie about @titanic_ii I just hope you make an appearance and direct it
