Ivanhoe’s Kipushi zinc mine in the DRC officially reopens
The restart marked exactly a century since the mine first went into production.
An $8.5 billion joint venture between Adriana Resources and Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. Ltd. would create the largest iron ore mine in Canada, capable of producing 50 million tonnes of iron ore over 100 years. NunatsiaqOnline reports on a preliminary economic assessment of the project released this week:
A giant-sized iron mine in Nunavik — which will produce two times more iron over its lifetime than Nunavut’s Mary River mine — announced today that its economic assessment looks good.
Adriana Resources Inc. said it had received positive results from a Preliminary Economic Assessment for a 50-million tonne per year operation on the Lac Otelnuk iron ore project.

The Mafiaman.
I have recieved an invination to bid on the ‘Hauling’ on this project. It will take quite a bunch of trucks because of its size & I may have to enlist the backing again from my Saudi friend? The two prodjects that I am involved in right now has about all of my $$ tied up at the present time. So it will probably come down to which one do I want the worse, the Pipeline or another mine? I will start working on theat bid for the mine as soon as I get back, it will boil down to which is the most $$ to be made in the long run. I may be getting to ole for all this BS. Is this what ‘Retirement’ is supost to be like? (I coulden’t live without it, it is in my ‘geens’ , I got it from my Dad i guess…….Dav.
