SAINT PAUL, Minn., April 5, 2011 – Lawson Software (Nasdaq: LWSN) today announced that Bangla CAT, Bangladesh’s largest independent electric power generation (EPG) solution provider and Caterpillar distributor, has chosen Lawson for Equipment Service Management and Rental. Bangla CAT will use the Lawson enterprise software system to help support its business operations and help enhance customer service and productivity across the organization. The contract was signed during the third quarter of Lawson’s 2011 fiscal year, which ended Feb. 28, 2011.
Bangla Trac Limited, which operates under the name Bangla CAT, has been an exclusive dealer for Caterpillar (CAT) engines and equipment in the People’s Republic of Bangladesh since 2004. Headquartered in Dhaka, Bangla CAT operates four branch offices that provide Caterpillar equipment for businesses across the country.
