Design Manager – Large Data Center Projects – Dallas – Hybrid!
Earthstream Global is partnered with a leading international design and build contractor to recruit an experienced Design Manager to join their growing North American team.
Our client delivers complex, high-value engineering and construction projects across sectors including Data Centres, Pharma, Logistics, and Advanced Manufacturing.
As the Design Manager, you'll lead the design coordination process on major design-build projects, ensuring designs are practical, compliant, cost-effective and aligned with programme and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the design process from concept through construction across architectural, structural, civil and MEP disciplines.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to ensure quality, programme and commercial objectives are achieved.
- Review design documentation for constructability, compliance and value engineering opportunities.
- Lead design coordination meetings and monitor design deliverables against project schedules.
- Manage RFIs, design changes and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support preconstruction activities by evaluating design options, systems and materials.
- Act as the primary design liaison between clients, consultants and project teams.
Skills and experience required:
- A degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a related.
- 10+ years' experience in Design Management, Design-Build or Technical Project Management.
- Good experience on a large DC project.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes and multidisciplinary design coordination.
- Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam and collaborative design platforms.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Experience delivering large-scale industrial, manufacturing or mission-critical projects would be highly advantageous.
