Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Assistant General Supervisor, Exploration Logistics, you will be part of the Exploration Department. You will assist in managing all operational aspects of logistics, which include but are not limited to winter hauling campaigns, ice drilling programs, overseeing helicopter operations, managing departmental inventory, Nunavut yearly sealift, and departmental scheduling. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.
- Support the execution of short- and medium-term strategies for all exploration activities (logistics, scheduling, general maintenance) on site;
- Manage day to day operations in relation to exploration.
- Monitor and track inventory. Work closely with Logistics Coordinator to develop an inventory management system within the Exploration department.
- Enter approved invoices into JDE for payment along with preparing requisitions.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external contractors to ensure the safe and efficient execution of planned exploration activities.
- Create Scope of Work (SOW) and Request for Proposals (RFPs) for upcoming programs, track invoices and contractor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Generate weekly and monthly reports
- Ensure the effective transfer of information between shifts.
- Ensure all Agnico Eagle’s Health & Safety and Environmental policies are always respected by all employees and contractors at all work sites.
What You Need To Succeed
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous work experience in camps or remote sites is considered an asset.
- Experience in logistics, inventory management, and administration are essential components of the position.
- Familiar with JDE or SAP. Ability to track inventory and generate reports.
- Experience coordinating personnel schedules and effectively tracking workforce movements across multiple remote camp locations
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Previous experience working around helicopters.
- Must have good organizational skills and problem-solving ability.
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to learn and perform routine maintenance
- Able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions and challenging terrain.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment in the arctic is considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead and to work in a team.
- Strong commitment to Health and Safety.
- Experience operating equipment; skid steer, telehandler, forklift etc. Considered an asset.
- Hold a Class 3 license or able to obtain one.
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Note that the official working language at the Hope Bay Project is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
- Location: Hope Bay Project;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
