Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

Senior Superintendent II, Payroll Governance & Operations is responsible for leading payroll governance, compliance, controls, and continuous improvement across Kamoa Copper SA, Kamoa Energy, and Centre of Excellence. The role ensures the accurate, compliant, and timely processing of payroll, taxation, and statutory obligations while maintaining the integrity of payroll systems, data, controls, and reporting. As the organization's payroll subject matter expert, the incumbent provides guidance on remuneration, payroll taxation, labour law compliance, and payroll controls, while serving as the final governance checkpoint to mitigate financial, regulatory, fraud, and reputational risks
You will have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Taxation, Commerce, Economics, or related discipline.
- Professional Accounting, Payroll, Tax, or Finance qualification.
- Postgraduate qualification advantageous
- 10–12 years' experience in payroll, finance, taxation, or related financial management environments managing large-scale, automated payroll operations, payroll teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Experience engaging directly with unions, auditors, banks, and DRC government authorities.
- Mining industry experience advantageous but not essential.
- Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Knowledge of French and Swahili will be considered highly advantageous.
