Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the safe and continuous mining operations of the site, with qualification to install, repair, and handle planned and reactive maintenance. In You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Install and troubleshoot electrical equipment including MCC’s, PLC’s, VFD’s electrical distribution, transformers and basic process controls;
- Maintenance of existing electrical equipment;
- Read, create and interpret schematics;
- Solid understanding of electrical test equipment, understanding different voltage hazards;
- Work with up to 13,800 volts;
- Follow safety procedures and policies;
- Able to operate equipment such as mobile lifts, forklift, etc.;
- Office duties include daily report work and work order systems (JDE).
What You Need To Succeed
- Licensed Electrician (Construction or Industrial);
- Ability to follow and understand all CSA/ESA rules and regulations;
- Understanding of PLC systems and VFD’s;
- Experience in process environment considered an asset;
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics;
- Clear understanding of lockouts and high voltage switching;
- Competent use of test equipment such as multi meters/insulation testers and signal generators;
- Strong troubleshooting and computing abilities;
- Ability to work in a team setting and independently.
WORK SCHEDULE: 7/7 schedule at our Macassa Mine Site, located in Kirland Lake, ON.
