Construction Project Manager (T&D) – Minnesota
We’re hiring an experienced Construction Project Manager to support major Transmission & Distribution (T&D) infrastructure projects across Minnesota. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex EPC projects from pre-construction through to completion.
The Role
As a Construction Project Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day execution of one or multiple construction projects, ensuring delivery across safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. You’ll work closely with engineering, field teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead construction execution across all project phases, from planning to closeout
- Manage project safety, quality, schedule, and cost control
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff
- Support project planning, scheduling, estimating, and budgeting
- Oversee contract negotiation, change management, and risk reviews
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Manage reporting, forecasting, and project documentation
- Ensure compliance with permits, regulations, and company standards
- Lead RFP processes, subcontractor selection, and contract administration
- Support commissioning, turnover, and warranty processes
- Monitor financial performance, earned value, and project metrics
- Mentor junior team members and support workforce development
- Manage labour planning, crew rates, and equipment utilisation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years’ experience in construction project management
- Strong EPC or construction delivery experience, ideally within energy, utilities, or infrastructure
- Proven track record managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commercial acumen, including cost control and contract management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
- Understanding of scheduling, document control, and financial reporting
Preferred Experience
- Transmission & Distribution, utilities, or mission-critical infrastructure projects
- Field-based construction leadership experience
- Exposure to large-scale, multidisciplinary projects
