Rainy River Mine
Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River Mine is an open pit and underground, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.
The Rainy River Mine, located adjacent to the Ontario / Minnesota border is 65 Kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. If you enjoy outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, winter sports and lake country then this is an area you will love to live and work in.
Applicants who reside in Northwestern Ontario and have experience working in a cross-cultural environment, coupled with knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities presented to those living in the Northwest Ontario, are assets. About The Role
Schedule: 40 hours per week, flexible work schedules/rotations available (4/3, 7/7, 14/14)
Position Reports To: IT Supervisor
Role Summary
A junior level position in the New Gold IT team, the role will encompass all aspects of IT service and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Tasks will include, but not be limited to:
- Tier 1 and Tier 2 desktop support for users onsite and remote
- IT service provisioning (i.e., add/delete users, change of access, password resets)
- End user incident management
- M365 (Azure AD, Exchange, Intune) management
- Networking troubleshooting
- Basic Server management
- Work with other departments and vendors on IT related projects
- Running cable, installing new IT equipment
- Other relevant duties as assigned
- Any additional tasks as requested by your supervisor
Qualifications
- University or College degree/diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or related experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft product suite, including but not limited to: Active Directory (and/or LDAP), Email, SharePoint, Windows 11, Office 365
- Sound knowledge of TCP/IP and basic networking principles
- Racking/cabling of servers and network equipment experience an asset
- Ability to problem solve and handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position will be between $62,500.00 - $70,000.00.
