Your Impact
As an Analyst, Technical your work will directly support digital initiatives, continuous improvement, and decision-making across Newmont’s Fixed Plant Asset Management domain. You will transform complex datasets into insights that directly strengthen Newmont’s operations and strategic decision-making. You will support AI/ML initiatives, improve data quality, and act as the bridge between site & global stakeholders and the technical delivery team (Digital Enablement, Data Engineering, AI/ML).
As Part of Our Team, You Will
- Partner with Asset Management teams to understand business requirements and data needs to deliver tailored solutions as part of Digital Enablement and AI-ML.
- Support continuous improvement and collaborate with cross-functional technical teams.
- Support development of solutions that address business challenges and optimize processes.
- Gather, clean, and prepare data from multiple sources to ensure quality and readiness.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and operational insights.
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations that clearly communicate findings and guide strategic decision-making
- Stay current on emerging data-science technologies and incorporate new techniques in solutions.
- Contribute to data governance, data integrity, and best-practice data management.
Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
- Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical groups.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Databricks).
- Familiarity with data lakes, databases, cloud platforms, and big-data tools.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, practical business insights.
- Understanding of change-management concepts and continuous-improvement methodologies.
- Mining or natural resource experience is strongly preferred with an understanding of Fixed Plant Asset Management concepts, principles and datasets.
- Curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to continuous learning.
Your Work Environment
You will work within the Digital Enablement team in the Technical function, collaborating with global and site-based partners in Fixed Plant Asset Management and Data and AI teams in a hybrid setting. The role may require occasional travel to sites to support projects and partner with stakeholders.
Location: Flexible
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday

The salary range offered for this role is USD $86,500- 115,300. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
