Las principales funciones están orientadas a gestionar actividades de planificación, ejecución y promoción, asociadas a Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo, con la finalidad de disminuir la probabilidad de ocurrencia de incidentes, enfermedades profesionales.
Los procesos industriales, actividades y tareas críticas, asociadas al sector productivo de la minería son complejos, poseen una ponderación del riesgo alto y requieren del soporte técnico del especialista en Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo, durante todo el ciclo del proyecto.
Las principales actividades a desarrollar por el estudiante son:

Apoyo en la gestión del ordenamiento jurídico y normativo.

Verificación de requerimientos internos.

Interacción con el organismo administrador del seguro Ley 16.744.

Apoyo a la gestión de programas de capacitación y auditorias.

Gestión documental y uso de plataforma administrativa especialmente diseñada para la gestión de riesgos.

Interacción con el equipo regional de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo

Participación en actividades de difusión.

Participación en reuniones.
