Control Engineer 155kV (Junior)

About the Role
Earthstream Global is is seeking a Junior Control Engineer (155kV) to join our team in Norddeich, Germany. You will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring all high-voltage circuits in the client's wind farms across Continental Europe.
This role operates within a 24/7 control room environment, ensuring safe and efficient grid operations in compliance with the client Electrical Safety Rules.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor SCADA systems and respond to alarms
- Coordinate and execute switching operations as an authorised switching orderer
- Interface with the national grid operator (TenneT)
- Create and review switching protocols, including execution permits
- Participate in risk assessments and work authorisations for offshore operations
- Support troubleshooting and rectification, including the creation of work orders in SAP
- Instruct external personnel regarding electrical safety regulations
- Coordinate immediate measures in the event of faults
Who We Are Looking For
- Junior-level electrical engineers or recent graduates with 1–5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of high-voltage systems (HV), substations, or grid operations
- Experience with SCADA systems, control room monitoring, or dispatch operations
- Understanding of switching operations and safety regulations
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- German language proficiency is preferred; English fluency is required
Bonus: Experience in offshore wind or renewable energy projects.
