Your Impact
In this role, you will help transform complex geoscience data into strategic operational value by developing applications, integrating data sources, and delivering analytics and machine learning solutions that support both research and operations. Your work strengthens Newmont’s digital and data capabilities across global geoscience teams.
As part of our team, you will
Design, develop, and maintain applications using the .NET platform to support geoscience workflows and internal tooling.
Create APIs that integrate external vendor data with internal geoscience tools.
Build and maintain BI dashboards and reports to visualize geoscience information.
Analyze geoscience data to extract insights that improve decision‑making.
Develop and implement machine learning models to improve predictive insights.
Integrate data from various sources to build complete and accurate datasets.
Partner with geoscientists, engineers, and stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Support implementation and maintenance of a geoscience data lake.
Stay current with advancements in data analysis, BI, and ML to continuously enhance solutions.
Document processes, models, and applications for transparency and reproducibility.
Prerequisites for your success in this role
Ability to work with .NET applications, SQL Server databases, and BI platforms.
Strong foundation in data analysis, business intelligence, and application development.
Skills in building dashboards, developing applications, and managing structured data.
Experience applying programming and data concepts to support reports, models, and dashboards.
Ability to perform basic data validation and troubleshoot routine technical issues.
Strong collaboration and communication abilities to partner across disciplines.
Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and methods with support from senior team members.
Your work environment
You will work within Newmont’s Technical function, supporting digital and data management activities. The role partners closely with geoscientists, engineers, data specialists, and other internal stakeholders across global operations. This is an individual contributor position with a focus on support and solution delivery.
The preferred location for candidates is near our corporate headquarters, in Denver, Colorado; however highly qualified candidates near our regional offices, or any of our site locations, will be considered.
Collaboration and interaction are expected with teams across the global, regional, and site organization as well as across other service and operational areas of Newmont across multiple time zones.
The listed salary range applies to positions based in Colorado. Compensation may vary for candidates hired in other locations.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $86,500- 115,300. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
