We are currently looking for an Accounting Manager based in the Netherlands, to support our European operations, working closely with our finance team and reporting to the Finance Director of SQM Europe NV (Belgium).
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities.
- Coding and registering incoming invoices and bank statements.
- Managing treasury activities (outgoing payments, deposits).
- Preparing weekly cashflow overview reports for SQM Headquarters.
- Handle withholding tax procedures and obtain tax certificates related to dividends from participations.
- Prepare quarterly financial reporting, including local reporting, trial balance in EUR and USD, IFRS Income Statement and Financial Statements, and cashflow reports.
- Prepare annual financial statements.
- Support third-party tax service providers on corporate income tax declarations, transfer pricing local files, CbCR, Pillar 2 and ATAD2 compliance.
- Perform daily accounting operations including inventory and production costing, GL adjustments, customs clearance and reverse VAT.
- Lead monthly closing processes in SAP S/4 HANA.
- Manage statutory and regulatory filings (EU Sales List, Intrastat, CBS).
- Perform quarterly responsibilities (VAT, SOX, CBAM, inventory dollarization).
- Coordinate annual financial processes, audits and budget preparation.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
- Fluent Dutch and English (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Experience with SAP S/4 HANA is a plus.
- Mandatory requirement: Must be currently living and officially registered in the Netherlands.
