Substation Attendant
Major Duties
- Inspect and maintain 380 kV GIS and 33 kV switch rooms, Control and relay panels, battery chargers, telemetry systems, Fire alarms, firefighting systems, and other substation equipment
- Record events, system readings, and abnormalities
- Assist Shift Control Engineer with: Switching programs, Emergency response, Report preparation
- Maintain manuals and perform software updates
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering (minimum 5 years) or
- Bachelor’s Degree (minimum 2 years).
Experience
- Operation and maintenance of substations (380 kV, 132 kV, 33 kV, 0.4 kV)
- Transformers, GIS, HV/EHV cables, protection systems, and on-load tap changers
