Mount Isa Mines are currently advertising vacancies that exist within our Copper Smelter Electrical team. This exciting opportunity will see you gain exposure to the largest industrial complex in Australia, specifically the Copper Smelter and Mines Power Station assets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Breakdown & Preventative maintenance
- Project work
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- Working within a team environment
- Contributing to the flow of copper from one of only two Australian Copper Smelters
You will have the following skillset and attributes:
- Trade Qualified Electrician – Equivalent Queensland Electrical Mechanic License
- Safety as a core personal value
- An eye for detail and a want for high quality of work
- The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
Nice to Have’s:
- Industrial process control, instrumentation maintenance and calibrations
- LV/HV Motors, VVVF drives, HV switchgear/switching, turbines and synchronous machines.
- Yokogawa Centum VP DCS and Allen Bradley PLCs (or have had exposure to similar control systems)
- Certificate 3 or 4 in Instrumentation
- Fixed plant maintenance experience
