About The Role
Are you a proven leader with highly developed stakeholder skills? Have you been seeking an opportunity to truly influence the success of a multi-billion dollar supply chain? Are you great at telling technical stories to diverse senior stakeholders and can you manage a wide range of stakeholders across different technical and operational boundaries?
Our Integrated Scheduling and Planning (ISP) division is looking for a Manager Scheduling to play a critical role in balancing all components of the world’s largest integrated mine network, comprising 17 mines, +1900km rail, and 2 ports to supply product to over 100 global customers.
This role will see you responsible for managing the end to end iron ore value chain balancing volume, quality, variability, cost, Joint Venture and customer contract commitments over a three-month production horizon.
This position provides you with an opportunity to role model system leadership and Rio Tinto behaviours whilst working with senior leaders and operational managers to safely deliver best-for-business outcomes and managing competing priorities. This role is also key to analysing and managing trade-offs during recovery from major events at mines, rail and ports, and recommending action to senior stakeholders to maximise business value.
Working with the General Manager- Integrated Scheduling & Planning and senior stakeholders, you will be expected to deliver key components of the Integrated Scheduling & Planning Strategy whilst leading the Scheduling team to deliver whole of business value, operational excellence, and a step change in technology to improve outcomes.
