Our Opportunity

Work Location: Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people

Roster: 8 Days / 6 Off 7 nights / 7 off

Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor this shift maintenance position offers a key role for our Port Mechanical team. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of Mechanical Maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring effective maintenance of all running plant
Raising notification for plant defects and repair
Fixed plant breakdown response, repair, and investigation
Online plant area inspections, Sample stations, Balance machines, Conveyors, Train unloaders
Hydraulic experience with diagnosis knowledge

Qualifications and Experience

- Previous experience within the fixed plant maintenance
- Engineering or trade qualification is a must, candidates with significant conveyor maintenance experience also highly regarded.
- High level communication skills
- Competent user of computerised maintenance management systems – SAP & Microsoft Project
- Ability to develop quality risk assessments, CRAW, JHA, SWMS, etc
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with a high attention to detail
- Ability to work with other departments to achieve objectives, team oriented.
- Proven commitment to principles of safety and zero harm
