Senior Civil / Geotechnical Engineer

The Role
We are looking for a talented Senior Tailings / Civil / Geotechnical Engineer with at least 6 years industry experience to join our dynamic Brisbane team. This role offers a unique opportunity to advance your existing consulting expertise within a technically proficient environment, where you are encouraged to innovate and develop your ideas.
As part of our Brisbane Tailings team, you will provide specialised consulting services to our clients, both in the office and on-site. You will be joining a team that provides consulting services to mining industry incorporating studies and technical reporting across a wide range of commodities and tailings and water management projects. You will receive support and guidance and mentoring from Principal Consultant level staff who will assist you in building on your existing technical skills and career aspirations, as well as building your network of clients.

Our Successful Candidate Will Have
- A degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Experience developing designs for mine waste facilities (tailings storage facilities, heap leach pads and waste dumps) at all stages from concept to closure.
- Undertaking engineering analyses such as stability, seepage and water balance modelling.
- Preparing technical deliverables including proposals, reports and construction documentation.
- Overseeing construction and operation of mine waste facilities.
- Undertaking geotechnical investigations and interpreting results.
- Liaising with internal and external clients.
- Working with other team members, specialists from other disciplines and mentoring junior staff.
- Current professional registration MIEAust membership and/or the requisite experience and qualifications to gain CPEng.
- Current Australian working rights, or a valid working visa with a minimum of 12 months working rights.
