Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, Investor Relations, the Manager, Investor Relations will work closely with the Director and senior executive team to develop and execute the Company’s investor relations and communications strategy.
Responsibilities
Investor Relations
- Maintain investor relationship management database and perform periodic analysis of shareholder and peer ownership, marketing effectiveness and stock price movements relative to peer group;
- Identify new media outlets and platforms with next generation audience of investors and stakeholders; Assist in the review of the Company’s social media marketing strategy where it relates to investor relations;
- Assist in the coordination, participation and planning of industry conferences and corporate marketing;
- Assist in the preparation, review, and distribution of external communication materials, including press releases, annual report, corporate presentation and quarterly materials to investors, analysts, media and other members of the financial community;
- Provide support and respond to inquiries from sell-side research analysts, shareholders and other retail and institutional investors;
- Assist in collection, analysis, and presentation of feedback to the Company of investor and analyst perceptions and opinions;
- Other related duties as required.
Corporate Website
- Ensure website content is accurate and updated regularly and serve as primary liaison with Web service provider and website designer to oversee maintenance and management of website;
- Work with various functional areas to coordinate website updates.
- Craft new website content when updates are required and prepare writing pieces.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Geology, or a related field;
- A minimum of 5 years of capital markets experience, preferably in corporate investor relations, marketing, corporate access, or similar experience;
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint; adept at creating PowerPoint presentations
- Working knowledge of graphics software, such as Adobe Photoshop or similar;
- Working knowledge of Bloomberg/FactSet/Capital IQ;
- Strong project management, communications and organizational skills.
- Interest in the mining sector
- Ability to work in a calm, composed manner in fast-paced environment under tight deadline pressure.
- A dedicated team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a group setting.
- Working knowledge of business-relevant social media channels, and experienced coordinating and creating content and strategy.
- Exemplary communication skills (oral, written, presentation);
- Delivers information in a well-organized manner and engages audiences appropriately.
