Teck is a leading Canadian resource company focused on responsibly providing the metals essential for global development and the energy transition while caring for the people, communities and land that we love.
Teck's two regional business units, North America and Latin America, oversee Teck's assets through all phases of safe, sustainable development, operation and closure. The business units are supported by enterprise-wide functions that set strategic direction, establish standards and provide governance, as well as supporting the business through shared services, centers of excellence and business partnering.
Reporting to the Rebuild Lead, the Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the site activities of the haul truck assembly and rebuild program, including supervision of all contractors at the project site, located at Teck’s Highland Valley Copper mine. By supporting the safe and efficient execution of the program scope, the coordinator will help Teck deliver a strategy for cost-effective and sustainable mining equipment rebuilds.
To be successful, we require a motivated self-starter with strong communication, interpersonal and coordination skills who can build positive relationships and support a hard-working team. The successful individual values continuous improvement, possesses strong attention to detail and can manage competing priorities in a positive and adaptable manner. The proactive ability to support site personnel flexibly is vital for success.
This is a phenomenal opportunity to be a part of and contribute to the development of the Central Asset Management team focused on best practices in maintenance.
