ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to the incumbent undertaking an internal opportunity, we have an opportunity for a HR Business Partner basedat Worsley’s Boddington Bauxite Mine.
This role is a Permanent 9-day fortnight working arrangement (Monday to Friday/ Monday to Thursday) with a hybrid site/ work from home arrangement with a requirement to be on site 3 days each week. Boddington Bauxite Mine (BBM) is located a short drive from the community of Boddington (10 minutes), Pinjarra (50 minutes) and the City of Mandurah (1 hour) with Company supplied bus travel from central Peel locations available.
The HR Business Partner (BBM) is a key part of our team of HR professionals who are based on our operational sites at both BBM and the Refinery near Collie. We are seeking a professional that can work autonomously but is also enthusiastic to contribute to the broader team on supporting HR initiatives and strategic improvements.
HR Business Partners partner with South32 leaders to help develop HR initiatives which support the achievement of business goals. They use information and data collected from various mediums to inform the development of these plans for their assigned portfolio across Worsley’s operations.
They collaborate with the Centres of Excellence to ensure that their strategies and frameworks are aligned to business needs. They communicate key people activities throughout the year and guide the business through the cyclical events. Some travel will be required between Worsley’s sites, or Perth office from time-to-time.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Partnering with business leaders to develop people-based initiatives, solutions and plans.
- Partner with the business for cyclical people activities: performance, talent,
- Support leaders in ER case management as appropriate.
- Collaborate with the Centres of Excellence to ensure that their strategies and frameworks are aligned to business needs.
- Support the development of positive culture and engagement levels within Worsley and portfolio.
ABOUT YOU
You’ll be a highly skilled HR professional with experience in partnering with business leaders to drive change and deliver results. Your expertise will include:
- Influencing Leadership: Demonstrated experience engaging with and influencing leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives.
- HR Expertise: Strong background in generalist human resources, with the ability to apply innovative HR solutions and change management principles that are embedded and sustained throughout allocated areas of control.
- Exceptional Communication: Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present, write, and interact effectively with all levels of the business.
- Complex Environments: Experience working in matrixed or complex organizations, navigating multiple stakeholders and driving alignment in challenging situations.
- Site-Based Experience: Experience within a site-based or industrial/ operational environment is highly regarded and will contribute to your success in this role.
Requirements for this position
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Employment Law, or Psychology.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ HR experience, ideally with at least 3 years in an operational HR role.
