International Diamond Manufacturers group says industry under threat
The International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA) new president, Maxim Shkadov, called rough diamond producers on Tuesday to come up with a joint industry marketing plan to increase sales of polished gems and diamond jewelry among luxury consumers.
According to Shkadov, the industry needs to reevaluate who the customers buying rough diamonds are, what their position and role is and what the end user is saying.
