IMAGES: Peel watershed protest gathers in Whitehorse
A protest was organized outside the Yukon Legislative Buildings today against the Peel watershed decision that was unveiled last week.
On Tuesday the Yukon government largely rejected the recommendation from the Peel Watershed Planning Commission asking that 80% of the land be made up of conservation areas. The Yukon government opted for 29% protection.
The Yukon Conservation Society publicized the march.
