Russia to continue buying diamonds through state fund in 2025
The Russian budget for 2025-2027 has set aside $1.55 billion for the purchase of precious metals and gems.
The U.S. imported 70,209 carats of gem quality rough diamonds in April, triple the typical monthly imports. The surge was in imports from India, ten times the regular volume of imports and more than 40% of April’s total.
