Toronto-based Iamgold has released the latest results from the winter drill program at its Lac Gamble zone at the Rouyn gold project 4 km south of the town of Rouyn-Noranda. The project is optioned from Yorbeau Resources.
Highlighted results:
The winter drill program spaced holes on a 50 x 50-metre grid to infill a portion of the zone previously drilled by Yorbeau and various joint venture partners. The holes intersected the sheared Cadillac-Piche corridor that hosts the mineralized zone. Visible gold occurs associated with minor sulphides in quartz-tourmaline veinlets.
The winter drill results along with geological, geochemical and structural information will be used to model the deposit and support a resource estimate for the Lac Gamble zone.
