Haydn Roberts appointed new president of Hexagon Machine Control Mining

Haydn Roberts has commenced in the role of President, Hexagon Machine Control, Mining, leading Hexagon Geosystems’ mining business unit including subsidiaries Leica Geosystems Mining and Jigsaw Technologies. Roberts  was previously employed as General Manager Global Operations with the mining technology company GroundProbe, based in Australia, and as General Manager North America with Komatsu mining technology subsidiary, Modular Mining.

Prior to his technology service roles, Roberts held senior positions with the mining company Rio Tinto, where among many responsibilities he gained first hand experience in implementing technology solutions into mining operations. “Haydn has a deep understanding of the mining industry, and extensive experience in mining technology services. He brings a wealth of knowledge to Hexagon’s mining businesses” said Mark Concannon, President, Hexagon Machine Control.

Roberts n is currently based in Leica Geosystems’ Brisbane office in Australia, and will relocate to Tucson, Arizona, to take up his permanent position in the North American office.
