Great Panther Silver shares jump 12% on production outlook

In 2023, silver mines produced 830.5 million ounces of silver. That total is projected to decline by about 1 percent to 823.5 million ounces in 2024.

The goal is to boost the $388 million capex project's resources to over 45 million tonnes.

In calendar 2024, Fortuna produced 369,637 oz. of gold plus 3.7 million oz. of silver, for a record gold-equivalent production of 455,958 oz.

The possibility of both silver and gold being caught up in the sweeping tariff measures has whipsawed the market in recent weeks.
