As reported on Fiji Broadcasting Corporation, the Fiji Higher Education Commission (FHEC) will be offering mining courses to meet the higher demand of mine workers due to the expected growth of Fiji’s mining industry.
FHEC Qualification Manager, Eci Naisele says they have found that the mining industry is growing but the only problem is the lack of skill.
He says the national qualification will be of international standards based on the standards of Australian, South African and also the New Zealand Qualification framework.
