Gold iPhones almost sold-out
Apple began sales of its latest iPhones on Friday, hoping for a strong demand, but it seems the company wasn’t ready for the overwhelming response so far and, as a result, the gold iPhone 5S is already in short supply for launch.
According to The Verge, it took Apple less than thirty minutes to push back the gold phone’s delivery date online from 7-10 days to as far as October in the US.
“Demand for the gold-coloured 5S was so strong in China and Hong Kong that Apple has already asked its suppliers to increase production of that model,” reports The Wall Street Journal.
Apple is expected to release first weekend sales figures, which also include pre-orders, on Monday.
