Gold and silver deposits found in Kingdom of Tonga’s waters

Nautlius Minerals (TSX:AIM) says it has found two rich deposits of gold and silver on its wholly-owned tenements within the Kingdom of Tonga’s territorial waters.

According to an official press release Nautilus has found two high grade Seafloor Massive Sulfide (“SMS”) systems inside the exclusive economic zone of the Kingdom of Tonga on its wholly owned exploration tenements.

The systems were sampled over an 18 day period by maritime research vessels in September, and assayed up to 11.9% copper, 59.8% zinc, 28.6 g/t gold and 673 g/t silver.

Nautilus CEO Mike Johnston said that the new surveys “further highlight the prospectivity of our Tongan exploration tenements, particularly the high precious metal grades we continue to encounter in the NE Lau basin.”
