Gerdau Ameristeel First-Quarter Profit Rises to $163 Million From Year Ago

Gerdau Ameristeel Corp. , the U.S. unit of Brazilian steelmaker Gerdau SA, said first-quarter net income rose to $163 million from $133.5 million a year earlier.
