Gekko Systems has great pleasure in announcing the tenth anniversary of its operations in Vancouver, Canada. The anniversary was celebrated with a dinner in Toronto prior to the PDAC conference. A number of Gekko’s customers and supporters joined the celebration with Sandy Gray, Gekko’s Technical Director, Adam Hesse, Vice President, North American Operations, and several members of Gekko’s global Technical Team.
The Canadian office has enjoyed a great deal of success since the office opened. Highlights include ongoing successful plant installations at Agnico-Eagle Meadowbank, Aurizon Casa Berardi and Sumitomo’s Pogo operations. To date, Gekko’s largest intensive cyandation unit in North America is an ILR4000BA. This plant is capable of handling nine tons per day of concentrate and is currently being delivered to Detour Lake.
“Excellent client feedback and support is evidence that the Canadian office is delivering a higher level of support to customers in this very important region”, said Adam Hesse. “Gekko’s focus and commitment to innovative solutions and low-energy alternatives will play an increasingly important role in the mineral processing industry. Linkages into the Chilean office also strengthen our North American presence.”
Gekko Systems recognises the strong presence of global mining firms in Canada and their leading position in the market with their worldwide mining developments.
The company also celebrated other milestones in 2011; ten years of business in South Africa, two year of operation in Chile, and fifteen years of worldwide innovation at the Head Office in Ballarat.
