New book ‘102 Things to Do with a Hole in the Ground‘ spotlights global reclamation projects
Stories of reinvented coal mining regions, regenerated communities and rebuilt ecosystems are told in a new book published this month.
An AUD12 million contract has been awarded by Karara Mining Ltd to Bateman Engineering to carry out the front end engineering design (FEED) for the Karara iron-ore project in Western Australia. The project, awarded in September 2008, runs through to April 2009 with an additional arrangement for technical support to be provided through to November 2010….more at MEIOnline
