FEATURED NEWS RELEASE: PhotoSat completes elevation mapping and drill hole collar coordinate mapping for Orko Silver’s (TSXV:OK) La Preciosa silver deposit in Durango, Mexico

PhotoSat has completed digital elevation mapping of Orko’s La Preciosa silver deposit in Durango State, Mexico, using stereo satellite photos from WorldView-2, the world’s newest commercial high resolution imaging satellite. The mapping project included locating the drill hole collars of over 750 drill holes to within 50cm. The WorldView-2 satellite is owned by DigitalGlobe of Longmont Colorado, the world’s largest commercial satellite company. The digital elevation map consists of an elevation point every metre and contours with 1m elevation intervals. Based on comparisons between the stereo satellite elevation mapping and thousands of ground survey points on similar projects, the accuracy of the stereo satellite elevation mapping is expected to be better than 50cm. The stereo satellite elevation mapping will be used for project planning and engineering studies for the La Preciosa silver deposit.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to be able to provide the newest high resolution stereo satellite photos, elevation processing and drill hole collar location technology to advance Orko’s La Preciosa silver project in Durango, Mexico. La Preciosa is an exciting new discovery that will provide significant economic benefits to Orko and to this region of Mexico.” says PhotoSat president Gerry Mitchell.
