Zimbabwe lithium miners want royalties to be linked to prices
The battery metal has slumped from a peak in late 2022 amid oversupply and weak demand from the electric vehicle sector.
Al Jazeera tracked down some of the grieving family members of the miners who were killed in the Aug. 16 shootings that left 34 dead.
“We were always struggling on his salary. We could never save anything,” says widow Ntombizolile Mosabetsana.
