Within the past decade, there has been huge growth in the capability of almost all commercial 3D geological modelling software. Due to the growth of geomodelling, the Geological Society of South Africa ran a 3D Geological Modelling course this year as part of their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme. Students are introduced to geomodelling software, Micromine during the course.

MICROMINE is set to release the latest version of its flexible and secure data management solution, Geobank 2017, to clients and industry at a launch event held in November at the CORE Resources Innovation Hub within FLUX in Perth, Western Australia.
