FLSmidth has signed a contract worth approximately USD 35m (approximately DKK 200m) with Cementos del Plata SA, for the supply of equipment and technology to their lime manufacturing facility located approximately 20 km northwest of Treinta y Tres, Uruguay.

FLSmidth has acquired 100% of the shareholding in the Indian company Transweigh India Limited, a company in which FLSmidth has until now been a minority shareholder.

FLSmidth has been awarded a contract for the supply of a complete semi-mobile sizer station for minerals processing by Minera Peñasquito S.A. de C.V. which is owned by Goldcorp.

FLSmidth has received four contracts, each worth approximately EUR 40m (approximately DKK 300m) from a company in the Middle East for engineering services and minerals equipment. Each order entails the supply of one SAG mill, two ball mills, with associated pebble crusher, screens, pumps and cyclones along with engineering services and auxiliary equipment.

FLSmidth has today signed an agreement to acquire the assets of the privately owned company Knelson, a Canada based corporate partnership which is active within the minerals industries. Knelson develops, manufactures, and installs equipment for the recovery of precious metals such as gold, platinum and silver, as well as the enhanced gravity separation of base metals and industrial minerals with over 3000 installations in over 70 countries worldwide. The customer base comprises all the major gold, platinum and silver mining companies.

In connection with Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark's state visit to Russia, FLSmidth expects to sign an agreement on future cooperation with the Russian company JSC EcoInvest.

FLSmidth has today signed a share purchase agreement to acquire 100% shareholding in Phillips Kiln Services Ltd., a US-based supplier of kiln services for the cement and minerals industries.

FLSmidth released its interim report today. Expectations for 2011 unchanged, continued strong market trends and order intake in minerals. The order intake decreased 13% to DKK 11,012m (first half of 2010: DKK 12,716m ), but increased 11% in minerals alone. The order backlog has increased 5% to DKK 25,011m since the turn of the year (end of 2010: DKK 23,708m)
