Mining Masterclass on Mining Finance

This Masterclass will look at current trends in the mining finance market and key points for consideration in relation to certain forms of mining finance. The start time is 08.30 at Simmons & Simmons, CityPoint, One Ropemaker Street, London EC2Y 9SS. This Masterclass, which is free to attend, will focus on financing exploration and project development and will include presentations from banks and financial institutions with Mark Tyler of Nedbank headlining.

Small mines drive large copper increases

Mine and refinery copper production continued to rise during 2011. However, production from large size mines has not increased in the last 10 years and the current increase in production is the result of an increase in smaller size mines.

CAI Industries/Gauley-Robertson, RSL Fiber Systems to provide safe, fibre optic lighting

CESCO’s Chile copper week coming in April

Chile's Centre for Copper and Mining Studies, CESCO, is holding this year's Cesco Week from 16-19 April in Santiago. This copper focussed event brings together major players in the mining sector from around the world that have a special emphasis on Latin America, as well as metal processing companies, investment banks, traders, engineering and shipping companies, amongst others.
