FLSmidth has today signed an agreement to acquire the two Australian service companies MIE Enterprises Pty Ltd. and Mayer Bulk Pty Ltd. The parties have agreed not to disclose the value of the transactions.
FLSmidth has today signed an agreement to acquire the privately owned company Decanter Machine, Inc., a United States based manufacturer and supplier of centrifugal technology to the global minerals industries.
With the closing 3 July 2012 of FLSmidth’s acquisition of the Australian engineering and equipment supply company, Ludowici Limited, FLSmidth is announcing that it has appointed Patrick J. Largier as the senior vice president and head of the Asia-Pacific region for the Non-Ferrous Division.

FLSmidth has been awarded contracts worth a total of approximately USD 85m (approximately DKK 500m) for equipment supplies to a copper producer in South America.
FLSmidth has been awarded a contract worth approximately USD 70m (approximately DKK 350m) for equipment supplies to a copper mine in Latin America.
The contract includes delivery of a 76,000 tonnes per day grinding circuit consisting of two very large SAG mills and two ball mills. The mills will be the largest gear-driven mills in the world.
The order signifies FLSmidth's strong commitment in this important copper market and continues to strengthen its competitive position as a leading supplier to the industry.
